This ukulele is for a local teacher, so we chose some local wood! The Cedar for the top and the Walnut for everything else came from trees in Parkdale, OR and the Fir neck is from a house in Portland. I love how I was able to use the bold sapwood in the Walnut for visual interest. It is lightweight, easy to play and sounds great with a low G and a K&K pickup. Thanks Elise!
