The Hearthstone Banjo
The Hearthstone Banjo
In my younger years, my instruments celebrated movement, travel and exploration, with the Scout and Wayfinder as the most recent examples. As my body and heart age, I instead look to nest, heal, think and discover what is within instead of what is without. This has led me to the Hearthstone banjo, with a tone and feeling that invites a sit by the warm hearth, the center of a home.
A hybrid instrument, with a lightweight 11” rim and wooden top and back. It sounds like a classical guitar, plays like a banjo and balances perfectly in the lap. It has a shorter 20” scale, which is perfect for our non-steel string set, tuned to open G and other nearby banjo tunings.
